Software Picks
Like so many other technology geeks, I have my list of favorites.
My current picks are
- Linux – specifically Gentoo Linux
- KDE – Window Manager for the X-Windows system
- Asterisk – Open source VoIP
- .NET Framework – this hardly fits my profile!
- Mono – this is the open-source implementation of the .NET Framework
- Vyatta – open-source routing on the Linux. This truly is an amazing product
- Zenoss – Open-source enterprise IT monitoring and alerting
- Blackle – Not really a software pick, but its an interesting idea
